This flame arrester plate is essentially required when changing the injector nozzles. It protects the nozzle from the combustion heat.
The flame arrester plate with a small hole is typically used at Volkswagen, etc.
In Mercedes cars the flame arrester plates come with a bigger hole (7.6 mm) which results in a non-optimal heat protection. Therefore, we recommend the fss-uni for Mercedes vehicles too.
