In the course of time, automatic transmissions tend to leak in various ways. A common cause, apart from the hardened oil pan gasket, is often the seal of the dipstick tube in the automatic transmission housing.
The dipstick tube is only fixed with two screws, when you pull it out of the housing the hardened oring can be easily replaced.
Tip: at the next oil change of the automatic transmission (due every 60.000 km) the oil will be drained anyway; then no more oil can escape when changing the oring, it is advisable to do the two jobs together.
