The fuel and brake lines of the W124 are secured by a plastic screw, a metal clamp and a rubber part at the underbody. All three parts are worn after many years of use:
The plastic screw often no longer grips at the bolt, the retaining clamp is usually heavily corroded, the rubber has become useless.
