Dibutyl maleate is the pure active ingredient of the plasticizer for all types of oil, i.e. engine oil, transmission oil, automatic oil, etc.
The plasticizer is absorbed by all rubber components in the oil circuit and improves their elasticity. Lost plasticizer components are replaced, so that the application of the plasticizer should be the first step in case of leaks in the system.
Dosage: 2% of the oil quantity, i.e. for 5 l engine oil 100 ml DBM is used. For engine oils it is recommended to add DBM directly after the oil change, so that the plasticizer can develop its effect over as long a period as possible.
