Front right window lifter mechanism (driver's side) for eletric window lifters
If there is a rattling or cracking noise on the electric window lifter, the mechanics are usually worn out, not the motor.
In the electric window lifter of the 124 series, no limit switches were installed, i.e. in the end position, the teeth of the semi-circular segment in the mechanics are under continuous load.
After many years of operation, this leads to severe wear and tear in this segment and consequently to a total loss of the electric window lifter.
We recommend replacing the electric window lifter technology and retaining the robust original motor.
