The short hydraulic hose is located between the strut and the duct to the pressure reservoir. The hose itself is rarely defective, however, it is almost always required if you exchange the strut or the duct. The cap screw from duct to the hydraulic hose is rusted permanently in > 95 % of the cases.
We therefore recommend to replace the hydraulic hose when working at the strut or the duct.
