The entire rear opening of the vacuum pump has the engine oil flowing through it. Slight leaks lead to unattractive leaks of engine oil. We therefore recommend replacing the seal when unscrewing the vacuum pump.
In our opinion, it is not economically sensible to make the gasket yourself because of its complex design.
