Gasket intake manifold for OM601
If the manifold leaks or is removed for repair, always replace the paper gasket with rubber pad between intake manifold and cylinder head.
For the dismantling of the intake manifold, the injection pipes and the rubber parts of the engine ventilation must be removed, among other things. Due to age, the retaining clips of the injection pipes are brittle, break at the slightest stress and can therefore hardly be reused. The unimposing clips are of great importance, as their absence leads to vibration cracks/breaks in the expensive injection lines.

The same applies to the rubber parts of the engine breather: these are torn in their original condition and an annoying source of engine oil leakage in the cylinder head area. The rubber parts are easy to change, after which this area of the engine remains dry and clean.
