turning knob for light switch, all W124
The turning knob of the light switch is operated by turning it to the left, right and on pull (for the fog lights). If you pull the switch to switch on the fog lights and if you then hold the turning knob in your hand, you will need a new turning knob.
Most 124s have a defective bulb to illuminate the turning knob; for replacement the turning knob must be removed with a water pump pliers.
After removal, the knob can usually be reattached, but does not hold properly because the plastic interior is worn out.
Tip: Before replacing the lighting gl-0.6w-gs it is best to stock a turning knob. Apart from the function it looks great :)
